Amos, Diana

The landscape, architecture and atmosphere of traditional Bermuda are the source of Diana’s paintings. A strong sense of composition and subtle use of color result in beautiful luminous paintings that evoke the changing seasons and shifts of light.
Painting in both watercolour and oils, her paintings have that rare quality of appearing both spontaneous and effortlessly graceful.

Bermuda born Diana studied in London at St. Martin’s School of Art and Hornsey College of Art. Her Master of Fine Arts Degree, cum laude, is from the Instituto Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico.
She has had numerous solo shows in Bermuda and her paintings are in many private and corporate collections. Her paintings have been exhibited in London, Vermont, New York, Jamaica, Canada, and Mexico. She is a Grumbacher Award winner.

In 1999, the Bermuda Arts Council honoured Diana with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Every year, Diana and her daughter, Stacey Amos Holden, create the much loved Bermuda Colours Watercolour Recipe Calendar which is distributed worldwide. She has a wide selection of lithograph prints reproduced from her watercolours and accepts commissions.
