Born in Northern Ireland,Amy attended the Belfast College of Art earning the National Diploma in Design and the Art Teachers Diploma. She taught in Northern Ireland before coming to Bermuda in 1968 with he Art Teacher husband & young child. Amy has taught all age groups in Bermuda since 1970 including many years at the Bermuda College & at the Bermuda High School for Girls. Corporate Groups & Mature students at the Seniors Learning Centre have also benefited from Amy’s teaching skills. Water color is Amy’s main medium but recently she has had a lot of success with mixed media work featuring architectural facades and most recently a shore line series where her eye & interest is focused on the effects storms have on rocks & rubble. For many years now Amy has had commercial success with her limited edition prints which show the beauty of Bermuda reproduced from her original watercolors. Amy’s work can be found in many private & corporate collections.
